ore, mon majhi re(oh! the sailor mind)

Ore mon majhi re,
Dubte de re
Anander ei sagore.

Ghorali to ekul okul
Hajaro bar korli re bhul
Ebar tobe char re more
Dubte de re
Anander ei sagore.

Hajar kothin bolis jare
Dangay kano khujis tare?
Sab kinarar shes kinara
Dar diye r thelis nare

Dubte de re
Anander ei sagore.

R dheu dekhe boy payish nare
Duble pore dheu o hare
Samsar nam dheuyer jale
Bhasis nare mon majhi re

Dubte de re
Anander ei sagore.

Bolis jare akul sagor
Tar i majhe atul akor
Sei katha khan bhulis nare
Ore mon majhi re

Dubte de re
Anander ei sagore.

(Oh! The sailor mind, let me sink in this sea of bliss.

U've taken me from this shore to that & yet everytime u made a mistake. So dont stop me now. Let me sink in this sea of bliss.

The one u think is very difficult why do u search on the shores? The one which is the last destination of all destinations dont push aside that with your row anymore.
let me sink in this sea of bliss.

Dont fear the waves anymore, once u sink the waves are defeated. Dont float with these waves named "samsar" Oh the sailor mind.
let me sink in this sea of bliss.

The one u call an endless sea has infinite gems inside. Dont forget that my sailor mind. let me sink in this sea of bliss.)

  3. I would have appreciated if you had written in bengali font, however I liked the rythm of the poem.

  5. I called on all the holy names
    Of every clime and creed.
"Show me the way, in mercy, ye
Great ones who have reached the goal."

Years then passed in bitter cry,
    Eacch moment seemed an age,
Till one day midst my cries and groans
    Some one seemed calling me.

A gentle soft and soothing voice
That said 'my son' 'my son',
That seemed to thrill in unison
With all the chords of my soul.

From a letter written by Vivekananda on September 4, 1893 to Prof. J.H. Wright of Boston who introduced the Swami at the Parliament of Religions

Tomar lekte Swamijir arti ta phute uteche...keep going. luv

  7. Excellent! I have no doubt it comes from the bottom of your heart and the pen flows like the blood in your veins!!
"R dheu dekhe bhoy payish nare
    Duble pore dheu o hare
    Samsar nam dheuyer jale
    Bhasis nare mon majhi re"...
These lines are apt and convey much more in Bengali . The English translation too is good, but Bangla has the FORCE!!My Compliments.
